Matt Bravo, a Partner at S-3, spent more than a decade as a senior staffer in House Republican Leadership and on the Energy and Commerce Committee. Most recently, Bravo served as the Director of Floor Operations for House Majority Whip Steve Scalise where he played a crucial role ensuring passage of critical legislation on the House Floor, including the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
Bravo has received bi-partisan praise for his work on the Hill. In a speech on the House floor, Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer thanked Bravo for the “very collegial, positive, constructive way in which he has worked with my staff, with the leader’s staff, with other staff on this side of the aisle, as well as staff on his side of the aisle to assure that we can, to the best extent possible, work in a constructive way on behalf of the American people.”
Prior to Bravo’s service in the Majority Whip’s office, he ran the coalitions and member services operation for the House Energy and Commerce Committee under then Chairman Fred Upton. Bravo began his career working for then Chief Deputy Whip Eric Cantor. He then served six years on Cantor’s floor staff during Cantor’s tenure as Majority Leader and Republican Whip.
