Olivia Kurtz has nearly two decades of experience on Capitol Hill, where she served as the top advisor to leading Republican centrists in both the Senate and the House. Olivia brings her extensive legislative experience on a variety of policy issues to S-3 Group, including fifteen years of work on appropriations.
Over the last ten years, Olivia served as U.S. Senator Susan Collins’ Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, and Senior Policy Advisor. Olivia led the Senator’s bipartisan policy and communications efforts and played an integral role at the center of every major recent policy initiative, ranging from tax reform to health care to coronavirus relief. With Olivia’s counsel, Senator Collins won a historic 5th term and is now the top Republican on the Senate Appropriations Committee.
Prior to joining Collins’ office in 2010, Olivia served as Legislative Director and Senior Legislative Assistant to Rep. Mike Castle (R-DE), where she focused on health care, energy, and appropriations policy.
A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Olivia is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College. She lives in Arlington, Virginia, with her husband and three children.
